What is an Italian-Corfiot chef like you doing in the island of Rhodes?

His gastronomic 'demon' would not allow him to decline it, anyway. And that's why, when Ettore Botrini was offered the chance to launch a second Botrini's restaurant in cooperation with Belle Vue hotel in Rhodes, he felt it as a real challenge that would allow him to combine the personal elements of his gastronomic identity with the special features of the Rhodian cuisine.

Following the Venetian influences that can be traced both in Rhodes and in Ettore's birthplace, Corfu, and seeking all those different touches that make up the canvas of the Rhodian and the Dodecanese flavour, Ettore Botrini presents at Botrini's-Rodi a menu that differs significantly from that of his Athenian restaurant, with dishes such as : 'Soupiorizo-Rhodes-Venice 2013'(Risotto with cuttlefish), ' Risotto with cyclamen leaves and staffed shrimp', or the dessert 'To Kaimaki ton Apenadi with kayisi and melekouni'(a type of traditional ice-cream with apricot and a local honey sweet).

Τhe restaurant will operate upon early July, so this summer all visitors of the island who will choose to dine at Botrini's-Rodi will have the chance to savour an inventive cuisine that follows the spirit of the Athenian restaurant but also manages to differentiate itself by expressing the chef's personal vision for the local cuisines of our country.
